Sundean Lydney is part of the Sundean Veterinary Group and offers out-of-hours care, with the website also mentioning home visits and a Pet Health Club® Plus plan that includes consultations. From owner feedback, the practice appears set up for routine appointments as well as anxious/reactive pets: reviews describe staff adjusting how appointments run to reduce stress for reactive dogs, and the building being arranged with separate dog and cat areas. It’s also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility.
Recent reviews are mostly very positive about handling nervous animals and the overall experience, but there are a couple of sharp negatives: one owner felt repeat cat allergy visits led to very little guidance for a £70 consultation, and another describes delays and a labelling issue on dispensed medication for a rabbit in gut stasis.
Google rating: 4.6 stars from 272 reviews. - Multiple owners say staff are particularly good at handling nervous or reactive dogs, including adapting the consultation to keep stress lower.

Lovely reception area with separate dog and cat areas. Reception staff are very informative and helpful. The vets and nurses take great care to see that your pet is comfortable with the surroundings and make sure they get the best clinical help.

This practice has been truly amazing since we registered with them after one of our dogs unexpectedly became unwell following moving house. They receptionist have always been friendly, welcoming and supportive and the vets and nurses have been supportive, knowledgeable, understanding and caring. I couldn't ask for anything more, I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely disappointed. I have been in and out with my cat. She seems to have an allergy but no one will point us further. The consultations are stupidly short, moved some fur aside on her paws to check what was obviously a raw irritation spot caused by overgrooming then told us “yeah she seems sore” as if we didn’t already know, then charged us £70 for a so called consultation. This wasn’t the first time we got in with this re occurring issue which seems to get worse and still we get no guidance whatsoever.

Excellent vets - they are so good with my dog who is reactive - they fit round her so the consultation is as least stressful as we can get it. Always knowledgeable and caring and really love the animals - which you can see in all the staff.

The most professional, relaxed environment with extremely friendly, pet orientated (plus owners) vets/nurses. Reasonable prices and the best care. Highly recommend 👌

I was very disappointed with the service. my rabbit was in gut stasis and she wasn’t seen as an emergency given how serious this condition can be,and had to wait until 5pm to be seen despite phoning in at 8am. When they finally saw her she was prescribed some medication which didn’t even have a dispense label on so had no idea how much to give her meaning she missed out on having her pain meds.
